Dear Parents,
When my son turned two, a friend shared a secret – “Be in line at Circle School by 5 a.m. so you can be near the front to register when the doors open at 10 a.m.!” Frankly, I thought my friend was a bit over the top, but she was actually right! Twenty-five years ago, it was obvious that Circle School was a precious gem, brilliantly shining at Darnestown Presbyterian Church. My son was one of the lucky ones – he made the cut and spent his happiest school years at Circle School. The friends he made at Circle are still part of his life, and mine. Now at Seneca Academy, the school is more than just a gem, it is a priceless treasure.
Your child’s education is one of the most important gifts you can give– and choosing the right school isn’t always an easy task. Fortunately, we have moved past the need to stand in line at 5 a.m. to provide your child with an outstanding educational experience. The added bonus is that by being part of the International Baccalaureate Program, your child has a world of opportunities open to him or her. Congratulations, your child is a Seneca Academy student and already at the front of the line!
Now, we need your help. As part of the Seneca Academy community, it is important that every family participates in keeping the school healthy and strong by making a contribution to the Annual Fund. Last year’s parent participation made a wonderful difference in enriching the school’s program for your children. The school will continue to grow and thrive if the entire community commits to participate in the 2012-2013 Annual Fund Campaign! Your donations to the Annual Fund ensure that: tuitions remain affordable, Seneca Academy can continue to recruit and retain the best teachers (and that means increasing salaries and benefits so we don’t lose those great teachers!), maintain and improve the building and grounds, and most importantly, provide the best possible programs and opportunities for our students – your children!
The Board of Trustees has set an Annual Fund goal of $30,000 this year - $6,000 more than the Annual Fund raised last school year. Only three members of the Board are Seneca Academy parents; the others are members of the greater community who care deeply about the school and its students. The Board has already reached 100% participation and increased its giving by 69% over last year, making a substantial “dent” in our final goal. Now we are appealing to every family to help us reach 100% parent participation with a gift – whether cash, check, stock transfer or on-line donation. We can only reach our goal with YOUR help. Remember, Seneca Academy is a tax-exempt organization, so your donation is deductible.
Please make a donation to Seneca your priority this year – can we reach that $30,000 goal by December 31, 2012? We’re counting on your help! Let’s keep shining!
