Words from Dr. Carroll…
Happy New Year Seneca Academy! I hope you all had a restful and/or fun-filled winter break. I heard from many of you that your children were chomping at the bit to return to school. I love hearing stories like that!
Although we are not even half-way through the school year, our administrative team is already well into the planning for next year. We are continuing our schedule of “Walk-In Wednesdays” on the first and third Wednesdays of each month and will host our first Open House this Saturday January 10th from 9:30-11:30am. Please feel free to join us to learn more about our programs and please let your friends and family members know who might be interested in Seneca Academy.
Astronomy Night for 3rd Grade
Seneca students braved chilly weather to explore our night sky with Westminster Astronomical Society representative Wayne “Skip” Bird. Students observed several constellations, the North Star and the Orion nebula. Students also learned how to make a comet and identify meteors. Asking questions is an important part of the scientific process; our students asked many questions about asteroids, comets and meteors. They also learned that in science, failure is actually an unplanned result!
