Located in Darnestown, MD, Seneca Academy is a preschool through fifth grade International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (IB PYP) World School. In elementary school, our self-contained classes average 10-14 students and some grade levels have an associate teacher to support the lead teachers. Our preschool classes average 12-16 students; all classes have an associate teacher to support the lead teachers.

Elementary Teacher
Seneca Academy, a dynamic, tight-knit, caring school community, is seeking a creative, energetic Elementary Teacher to join a team of dedicated educators. At Seneca Academy, faculty develop lasting, supportive relationships with students and their families. Our inquiry-based curriculum leads children to think deeply, communicate effectively, and interact positively. Teachers with the ability to actively engage students in the learning process, provide creative, challenging and integrated curricula, manage behavior in a nurturing and affirming manner, plan collaboratively, and teach using multimodal methods will find Seneca a great fit. Candidates with inquiry-based, transdisciplinary, and/or IB PYP teaching experience are preferred and strongly encouraged to apply.
